Job summary

Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. in Durban seeks a Quality and Process Manager to lead quality initiatives across the lubricants supply chain, from raw material receipt to distribution.

You will oversee Laboratory QA/QC execution, maintain plant facilities and equipment through preventative and breakdown maintenance, and drive root-cause analysis to deliver process improvements within budget. You will also manage inventory reconciliation at LMP and procurement activities with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading QA/QC in a lubricant supply chain.
• Strong ability to drive process improvements and cost control.
• Proven leadership in laboratory operations and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead zero-defect quality initiatives across the supply chain.
• Align strategic and operational quality focus with market requirements.
• Manage Laboratory QA/QC activities and testing protocols.
• Maintain plant facilities with preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation at LMP and 3rd party locations.
• Manage contracting and purchasing of goods/services.
• Coordinate procurement bids and supplier contracts as contract owner.
