Quality / Process Engineer (Contract) at EnableSA (Pty) Ltd
Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality / Process Engineer to join the Port Elizabeth team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
- Analyse production processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Lead and support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.
- Monitor and report on key quality indicators and process metrics.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality-related matters.
- Train and support production staff on quality and process control techniques.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g. ISO, customer audits).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, procurement) to resolve quality and process challenges.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a quality or process engineering role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
- Candidate must be available to start immediately.
