Description Our client in the Maritime / Fishing industry is currently looking to employ a Quality Manager (FMCG) in Port Elizabeth (Harbour).

Requirements:
- Grade 12 and National Diploma in Food Technology.
- Certificate in Quality Management.
- 5+ years as a senior quality specialist/engineer.
- Expertise in Food Safety, HACCP, Microbiology and industry legislation.
- Knowledge of NRCS inspections, external regulators, and TRACES system.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
Responsibilities:- Conduct compliance tests for export certification of white fish and other species.
- Lead HACCP team and drive quality awareness in the plant.
- Ensure products/services meet customer and legal standards.
- Implement and monitor the quality management system through audits and compliance checks.
- Train stakeholders on revised quality and food safety principles.
- Conduct mock recalls for defect preparation.
- Oversee annual management reviews and documentation procedures.
- Ensure medical surveillance of employees handling fish products.
- Manage team behaviour, motivation, and performance.
