MEA Projects, a division of Howden Africa (Pty) Ltd, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to develop and implement quality control systems and processes, conduct audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes. This role ensures that products and services meet consistent quality standards.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be

1. Develop, maintain, and control Quality Management Systems aligned with local and international standards to ensure compliance and the delivery of cost-effective, quality products and services.
2. Assist in developing improvement processes across departments to reduce quality issues and rework.
3. Prepare, review, approve, monitor, and control quality control plans to ensure adherence to quality systems and contractual requirements, and communicate project quality requirements to relevant parties.
4. Conduct annual internal and supplier audits to verify compliance, identify shortcomings, and recommend corrective actions.
5. Assist with inspection and testing of work in progress to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
6. Build and maintain client relationships to foster confidence and satisfaction in Howden’s processes, products, and services.
7. Conduct quality training for personnel to raise awareness and promote continuous improvement.
8. Analyze data to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
9. Supervise and mentor quality assurance and control staff.

Your Education Should Be

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
2. Accredited Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Your Professional Experience Should Be

1. Minimum of 10 years in a quality assurance and control role within engineering, manufacturing, or related industries.
2. Familiarity with quality control software and tools.
3. Experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
4. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
