Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Quality Manager in Pretoria. The role involves developing and maintaining a Quality Management System, overseeing quality control operations, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Ideal candidates have a B-Tech degree in Quality Management and at least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.

Strong knowledge of quality control standards, regulations, and procedures.

Experience with ISO standards and other relevant quality management systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in quality control software and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, implement, and maintain the companys Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.

Oversee daily quality control operations.

Secure and support Production team competence and adherence to Quality Requirements.

Lead and mentor the quality control team, providing training and performance feedback.

Investigate non-conformance and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions.

Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.

Conduct audits, inspections, and quality assessments to ensure compliance.

Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary.

Monitor product defects on a continuous basis.

Liaise with the Technical Managers on quality and technical matters.

Control the return and assessment of quality complaints from customers.

Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and comparing with customer requirements.

Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.

Establish Quality plans within projects of introducing new products or new plants / changed processes.

Audit the Companys Quality Management System and compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 : 2015.

Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
