Quality Manager

Our client in Blackheath is seeking a proactive and skilled Quality Manager to enhance their team.

The successful candidate will have a Matric certificate or equivalent and a diploma or degree in Management or Quality Management.

With a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of Quality Management principles and practices.

Proficiency of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is required, along with strong managerial skills to effectively lead and motivate staff.

REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES

1. Designing and implementing the framework and methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
2. Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
3. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
4. Managing the quality team
5. Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
6. Tracking products through the manufacturing process to ensure that each part of the process is correct
7. Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
8. Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
9. Manage the quality and auditing-process and reporting
10. Own weekly calibration sessions to ensure consistency
11. Compile and distribute quality reporting in a standard format
12. Drive requirements for technical quality and auditing solutions
13. Liaise with Operations on coaching and areas for improvement
14. Prepare reports and analysis, including relevant analyses versus prior periods and forecasts and associated risks / opportunities
15. Preparing a weekly / monthly report to management summarizing site Quality activities, concerns, and project Quality statistics for the period
16. Drive the development of robust quality improvement coaching and training processes to drive continuous improvement

3. Proven background of quality related analysis, with the ability to draw conclusions and recommend improvement initiatives

5. Ability to evaluate data, identify issues and provide improvement recommendations
6. Project management skills and experience
7. Ability to analyze and interpret data, draw conclusions with the ability to make and implement decisions
8. Experience in writing documentation and standard operating procedures
9. Demonstrated ability to drive process changes and improvements
10. Exceptional written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
11. Proficiency of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
12. Professional approach to working with colleagues at all levels
13. Proven ability to influence change at all levels
