Job summary

Diageo SA is seeking a Quality Lead to drive quality across 3PL partners and manufacturing processes in our South Africa operations. You will own brand technical equity with 3PL, provide expert guidance, and lead investigations into quality variances to safeguard product integrity.

Requirements include a BSc/BTech in Food-Tech or related, 5–7 years in FMCG quality roles, and experience auditing suppliers. Knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc/BTech in Food-Tech, Bio-Tech & Food Science or equivalent.
• 5–7 years’ FMCG experience with quality leadership.
• Experience managing a team and supplier audits is an advantage.
• Experience implementing HACCP, FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Diageo standards including GRMS, QMS, BTMs and product specifications.
• Own brand technical equity with 3PL and protect brand integrity.
• Provide technical support to 3PL Production teams on quality issues.
• Act as first point of contact for quality or food safety variances during manufacturing.
• Collaborate with suppliers on liquid compliance and coordinate trials.
