Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality and R&D Assistant to join our dynamic team in the cosmetics industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality assurance with exposure to product development processes. This dual-role position will support both Quality Control and Research & Development functions, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, innovative cosmetic products.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably in the cosmetic or personal care industry.
  • Technical knowledge of quality control processes and testing methodologies.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to detect and address product defects.
  • Leadership skills to provide clear instructions to the manufacturing team and ensure compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of ISO 22716 and GMP standards is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Duties:

  • Participate in routine quality control analyses of raw materials, bulk, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate and assist in sending products for third-party testing.
  • Assist in bulk batch adjustments based on testing results.
  • Troubleshoot product issues in collaboration with production and technical teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality records and documentation.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to quality control standards across the production process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold product integrity.

Research & Development Duties:

  • Assist with sample development and stability testing for new and existing formulations.
  • Request, track, and catalogue specification documents for new raw materials.
  • Generate batch manufacturing instructions for approved formulations.
  • Maintain and update Product Information Files (PIFs) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
