Please note that this is a fixed-term contract position.

Purpose of the Job
  • To perform static checks, short-track road testing, and inspections on the BMW Product Range, focusing on functional defects, rattles, and squeaks while driving on the test track.
  • This activity involves verification and acceptance of line production through 100% inspection, as well as initiation and monitoring of corrective actions to ensure quality levels are met or to reject non-conforming results/materials before shipment to the customer.
Main Duties
  • Perform quality checks on complete vehicles to meet the PP100 target and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections following ILQC work instructions and procedures for the specified area.
  • Record defects found on IPSQ.
  • Assist with pre-analysis of identified defects.
  • Escalate defects based on severity and recurrence.
  • Identify all defects with correct BI ratings.
  • Ensure proper information flow when defects are detected.
  • Assist with interim countermeasures to address problems identified by external sensors.
Auxiliary Activities
  • Instruct associates on quality assurance within BMW.
  • Participate in training, system checks at various locations, and other ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Conduct customer-focused inspections as required.
Stakeholders
  • Process engineering.
Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent, and/or mechanical artisanship.
  • Technical diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of quality inspection and process experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
