Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or Biotechnology (NQF Level 7).
  • Up to 6 years in food safety, quality control, or assurance.
  • Proven experience in audit leadership and management system implementation.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead & Inspire:

  • Champion a culture of quality and safety across teams.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing QFS team.
  • Drive engagement and performance through coaching and communication.
  • Support company values and champion training and development initiatives.

Ensure Compliance Excellence:

  • Oversee ISO (22000, 9001, 17025) and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead internal and external audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain certifications and elevate QFS standards.

Drive Strategy & Innovation:

  • Align QFS initiatives with business goals.
  • Contribute to cost-saving strategies and policy development.
  • Lead continuous improvement and risk management projects.

Be the Technical Expert:

  • Provide legal, technical, and advisory support.
  • Develop training materials and policy manuals.
  • Represent QFS in cross-functional committees.

Manage Supplier & Incident Protocols:

  • Ensure supplier compliance and performance.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and drive timely resolutions.
