Job description

Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic and high-performing team at the East London plant.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures for automotive products.
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct product and process audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Analyze quality performance data and report findings to management.
  • Support new product development teams in quality planning and validation activities. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen.
  • Maintain and improve quality documentation, including process flows, specifications, and work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (matric) certificate.
  • Engineering Diploma or Engineering Technology Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive sector

Quality related training :

  • Auditing (Internal & Layered) IATF 16949 , ISO 14001 2015 / OHSAS 2018
  • Proficient in quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, MSA, and APQP.
