Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Assistant (Contract) Modderfontein

Employment Type : 3-Month Contract

Overview :

An opportunity exists for a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Assistant to join a fast-paced warehouse / laboratory environment on a temporary basis .

This position requires hands-on support for quality control and inspection functions . The role is suited to candidates who are comfortable with physically demanding tasks in a production and warehousing context.

Minimum Requirements :

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Experience in a laboratory or warehouse-based role
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Preferred :

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar regulated environment
• An analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and the ability to follow procedures

Additional Information :

• This position operates in a warehouse and laboratory setting with physical duties .

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist QC Technician with day-to-day Quality Control operations
• Sample and test incoming goods (bulk, finished, and packaging materials)
• Submit product samples to third-party labs as needed
• Identify and report non-conforming products or materials
• Complete and file release and testing documentation
• Coordinate with warehouse teams on repackaging and rework activities
• Maintain proper labelling of materials and ensure document compliance
• Support internal audits and equipment maintenance routines
• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct periodic inspections of warehouse and lab areas for compliance
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in controlled areas
