Overview:

An opportunity exists for a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Assistant to join a fast-paced warehouse/laboratory environment on a temporary basis. This position requires hands-on support for quality control and inspection functions.

The role is suited to candidates who are comfortable with physically demanding tasks in a production and warehousing context.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Experience in a laboratory or warehouse-based role
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar regulated environment
• An analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and ability to follow procedures

Additional Information:

This position operates in a warehouse and laboratory setting with physical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist QC Technician with day-to-day Quality Control operations
2. Sample and test incoming goods (bulk, finished, and packaging materials)
3. Submit product samples to third-party labs as needed
4. Identify and report non-conforming products or materials
5. Complete and file release and testing documentation
6. Coordinate with warehouse teams on repackaging and rework activities
7. Maintain proper labelling of materials and ensure document compliance
8. Support internal audits and equipment maintenance routines
9. Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
10. Conduct periodic inspections of warehouse and lab areas for compliance
11. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in controlled areas
