Job Title : Quality Control (QC) Inspector - Wind Farm

Location : Eastern Cape, South Africa

Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience with Wind turbines

Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our client's team for a wind farm project in the Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, specifically turbines and transformers, with additional expertise in welding inspection.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough inspections of wind turbine and transformer installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Perform various types of welding inspections.
• Adhere to and enforce safety standards and regulations during all inspections.
• Document and report findings, ensuring accurate and timely communication with project management and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the construction and teams to address and rectify any identified issues or defects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and advancements in QC inspection techniques.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically with turbines and transformers.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering; trade-tested applicants will also be considered.
• Must be a South African citizen or hold South African Permanent Residency.

Preferred Skills :

• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the renewable energy sector.
