Job description

Job Summary: To perform quality control functions for a Pharmaceutical Company.

Key Performance Areas and Key Performance Indicators

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform analytical procedures (final product samples / in-process samples / raw materials): Validate method, Prep of standard solutions and testing reagents, Analysis
  2. Recordkeeping of data
  3. Reporting
  4. Retention of samples
  5. Turnaround time
  6. Accuracy of analytical results
  7. Compliance to GMP
  8. Compliance to QMS
  9. Compliance to testing method specification
  10. Quality reporting
  11. Timely reporting of deviations and Out Of Specifications
  12. External audits - no major findings or incidents
  13. Prepare testing specifications: Accuracy - Correctness of information
  14. Prepare product specifications: Accuracy - Correctness of information
  15. Verifications and calibration of laboratory instruments (HPLC / GC): Timeous (according to schedule)
  16. Housekeeping (label standards, safety, waste management and disposal, work areas, glassware, consumables): Compliance
  17. Sample management - sample control of all samples submitted: Compliance
  18. Operational Planning – follow schedules, prioritizing, targets: Personal work and project plans met standards
  19. Monitoring and Reporting - monitoring, control, corrective action: Consistently reviewed own progress, quality, and compliance, took corrective actions and gave quality feedback timeously
  20. Operational Efficiency – processes, workflow integration (silo busting), systems, standards, compliance, methodologies: Established and effectively used processes, systems, professional standards, methodologies, practices
  21. Resourcing and Capacity Management – people, infrastructure, systems, technology, equipment, knowledge, information; facilities, etc.: Secured and used resources efficiently and optimized cost
  22. Decision Making – escalations, decisions, problem solving: Identified and resolved work obstacles and issues effectively and quickly / Analysis and recommendations based on thorough research and decisions led to better results

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  1. Qualification / Education / Certification: Analytical Chemistry Diploma or Applicable B Tech or related qualification
  2. Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an analyst in a Pharmaceutical laboratory or Food & Beverage industry experience
