Our client is a small to medium-sized company that manufactures a range of products primarily in coffee cleaning, machine care, and coffee products, which they export worldwide.

Position: Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing production lines and to produce consistent, high-quality products that meet both quality and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will understand the company's and customers' needs, coordinate employee efforts, and facilitate communication between management and production teams. A solid understanding of regulatory compliance, scientific, and technical data is essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control (QC) Team Management: Conduct daily meetings, ensure process sheets are current, monitor raw, intermediate, and finished goods. Verify equipment calibration, review product check sheets, update logbooks, confirm analytical testing, address quality issues, train staff, and manage overtime. Manage a team of four: two for housekeeping and two for quality control.
  2. Quality Assurance (QA): Implement ISO 9001:2015 QMS, develop SOPs, integrate company policies, enhance workflows, ensure cGMP compliance, manage waste, oversee Halaal certification, maintain equipment logs, conduct training, manage change systems, assist with onboarding/offboarding, and promote continual process improvement.
  3. Housekeeping & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure daily cleaning plans are followed, conduct inspections, oversee deep cleaning, and ensure HACCP procedures are adhered to.
  4. Product Development & Innovation: Work on new product development, manage product testing systems, analyze test results, and refine testing methods.
  5. Health & Safety Management: Provide safety training, educate employees on workplace risks, ensure PPE usage, maintain MSDS, handle incidents, and uphold safety standards in production areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business-related fields.
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Preferably chemical engineering or related chemical work experience.
  • Experience in business administration is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, observation, and leadership skills.
  • Deep knowledge of quality control procedures, legal standards, and ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Technical and IT skills, including analysis of quality and performance data.
  • Thoroughness, concentration, and sound judgment for decision-making.
