Qualifications

QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR – MPACT Division : Corrugated Site : Nelspruit

Department : SHEQ Grade : CL

A vacancy exists at Mpact Corrugated Nelspruit with the following requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Quality, Food Safety, and FSC management systems to ISO standards, legal requirements, company policies, procedures, and adding value and improvements to the quality environment of the company.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Quality. Chemical Engineering will receive a preference.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, and FSC systems.
• Act as document and data controller for ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, and FSC.
• Good communication and administration skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
• Self-management and discipline, physically fit for work.
• Willing to work outside normal hours when necessary (e.g., preparing for external audits).
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, and FSC management systems.
• Ensure compliance with all Food Safety legal requirements.
• Implement and communicate ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, and FSC requirements & regulations throughout the plant.
• Manage manpower effectively, promote teamwork, and ensure planned schedules.
• Manage the QC lab and reports, including compiling certificates of analyses for customers.
• Conduct internal audits of various departments to maintain Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
• Act as Lead Internal Auditor for ISO procedures.
• Implement and maintain training programs for Quality, Food Safety, and FSC refreshers.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, occupational health and safety legislation, legal requirements, customer requirements, and ISO standards.
• Perform any ad hoc duties as required.
