Job description

This position is based at the Midrand stager with regular travelling inside and outside of Gauteng.

The primary function of this position is to manage quality, stock and customer satisfaction related to the Midrand stager.

Responsibilities & Duties
  1. Management of Gauteng staging operations and quality control of product
  2. Weekly reporting
  3. Daily visits
  4. Stock and inventory management
  5. Quality control of incoming and outgoing product
  6. Regular engagement with Stager as required
  7. Optimization of processes & protocols
  8. SOP measurements / audits
  9. Regular DC visits
  10. Engagement with the customer technical team
  11. Support Local Municipal markets
  12. Regular engagement with market agents
  13. Attend to quality and admin related matters
  14. Assist with enforcement of quality & brand specs
  15. Stock control
  16. Assistance with packhouse management
  17. Visit Northern Packhouses – Hoedspruit, Nelspruit, Burgersfort
  18. System optimization
  19. Manage accreditations and retailer requirements
  20. Packaging inventory management and quality of packing materials
  21. Local retail
  22. Assist with import / local program quality control
  23. Engage with retailer team on any quality challenges
  24. Investigate substandard product & packaging
  25. Customer interactions
  26. Visit stores to benchmark product
  27. Assist with the management of in store tasting
  28. Regular DC site visits with customer representatives
  29. Relationship management with resident customer quality team
Skills and Competencies
  1. Knowledge of fresh fruit quality assurance – preferably citrus
  2. Competency in systems and processes
  3. Good acumen continuous process improvement
  4. Leadership skills with the desire to further develop
  5. Team player
  6. Ability to travel and work remotely
  7. Attention to detail
  8. Strong administrative and reporting skills
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications (BSc / Quality assurance / Business Administration)
  2. Minimum three years' experience
  3. Driver's license
