The Faculty is looking for dedicated online TEFL tutors in South Africa to join our team and make a difference in global education.

The Role

  • Independent Contractor Agreement (Remote).
  • No guaranteed teaching hours.
  • Various shifts to suit your availability.
  • Variable schedule based on operational needs within predefined time frames.
  • Advance notification of your schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  • Teach students using engaging, conversational teaching methodologies.
  • Inspire and support students in reaching their language goals.
  • Provide constructive feedback and effective error correction.
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions that foster meaningful interaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent (a bachelor's degree in any field is advantageous).
  • 3 months of teaching experience (formal or informal) is advantageous.
  • TEFL / TESOL certificate (hourly).
  • Excellent English proficiency (neutral accent).
  • Strong computer literacy and troubleshooting skills.
  • Connectivity: Stable FIBRE internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download), LAN cable connection (no Wi-Fi).
  • PC Specifications: Intel Core i5 6th Gen processor (or equivalent), Quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM.
  • Backup Power: UPS or Portable Power Station (4–5 hours battery life), Mini-UPS for your fibre router (4–5 hours battery).
  • Other Requirements: Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam (backup recommended), quiet and well-lit professional workspace.
