Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance their Meat Plants' Quality Assurance Systems (QMS) and ensure strict adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
4+ years' experience in Quality Assurance Management within Meat Plants, Fresh Meat Production, or FMCG
Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC, food safety laws, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong reporting and data management skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and manage teams
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Experience in risk assessment, process improvement, and internal audits
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Assurance System in compliance with food safety standards
Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO standards (FSSC), and other regulatory requirements
Oversee quality control of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adherence to specifications
Conduct risk assessments and audits to maintain quality and food safety certifications
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and set specifications
Monitor production control functions, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
Train and educate employees on food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance procedures
Manage internal and external laboratory testing to ensure product consistency
Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and product recalls, implementing corrective actions
Stay updated on new regulations and industry trends to maintain compliance and best practices
Maintain effective communication with regulatory and governing bodies
