Job description

Our client, a leading Textile Manufacturing company based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Quality Assurance (QA) Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the quality management system to ensure quality of product
• Ensure that buyer's specifications are properly understood
• Ensure that acceptable quality levels of the company, is properly maintained and exceeded
• Ensure that all incoming, in-process and final goods, are properly inspected
• Attend to issues reported
• Ensure continuous training of personnel to enhance their skill
• Ensure control of repairable and washable garments
• Implementation of standards for inspection
• Follow up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
• Implement appropriate corrective actions
• Communicate with other team members to solve problems
• Ensure samples sent to buyers meet specifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Senior Certificate
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience within the textile industry essential
