The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for establishing, managing, and leading end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) practices across a large-scale SAP landscape. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful upgrade from SAP ECC to S/4HANA , including additional system enhancements. The successful candidate will provide QA delivery leadership, governance, and assurance across all project phases, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the set-up, preparation, and execution of Quality Assurance activities across SAP projects.
- Define and implement QA frameworks, standards, and methodologies aligned to SAP best practices.
- Conduct and facilitate quality gate reviews at key project milestones.
- Provide QA delivery leadership, ensuring quality objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with agreed quality, scope, and performance standards.
- Identify risks, defects, and quality gaps, and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with technical, functional, and business stakeholders.
- Support governance and reporting structures to provide visibility into quality status and outcomes.
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance roles, with senior-level responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant SAP-related qualification.
- Proven experience establishing and managing QA frameworks and quality gates.
- Strong experience providing QA leadership on complex SAP delivery projects.
- Solid understanding of SAP project life cycles and delivery methodologies.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrades.
- Public Sector experience.
- Candidates based in Cape Town.
- Experience working on large-scale, enterprise SAP programmes.
