Manpower have partnered with a reputable company based in Johannesburg as they go to market for a QA Engineer within the manufacturing sector on a permanent basis. The Manufacturing QA Engineer ensures product compliance with quality, customer and regulatory standards by developing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, analysing data and driving continuous improvement in production and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality systems, ensuring integration into daily operations and strategic goals.
• Oversee the Quality Department, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and regulatory standards.
• Establish and manage quality control procedures, audits and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers to monitor and maintain quality of incoming materials.
• Identify inefficiencies and spearhead Lean Manufacturing projects to enhance quality and reduce waste.
• Develop and conduct quality training programmes to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Lead quality-related meetings, ensuring alignment across teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant Quality Management qualification
• ISO 9001 certification
• 5-10 years in high-volume manufacturing
• Expertise in quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, CAPA).
• Experience in project management, team leadership, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, SAP) and SHE Management knowledge are beneficial.
