Prestigious accounting firm based in Port Elizabeth is looking for a Quality Assistant within the auditing department. The candidate will be responsible for obtaining and recording information related to the quality management process, monitoring and reporting on progress according to the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM) and company procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Compiling IRBA fee list from GreatSoft reports and other registers.
  • Assisting with IRBA fee reconciliation.
  • Supporting the Quality Consultant with the Rotation schedule.
  • Updating registers such as Typist, Caseware locking, Attorneys, Claims, and AUP & Valuations for locking purposes.
  • Maintaining other relevant quality registers.
  • Assisting the Quality Consultant and Quality Manager with ad hoc tasks.
  • Reception duties as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm’s SOQM, policies, and procedures.
  • Adhering to the Employee Code of Conduct, including HR policies, SAICA, IRBA, and IESBA Codes of Conduct.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • General administrative experience.
  • Experience in an audit firm is advantageous.
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Quality Management is advantageous.
  • Strong MS Office skills; GreatSoft experience is a plus.
