Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Quality and Process Engineer to join their dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. This role is vital for ensuring that production processes meet stringent quality standards and operational efficiency targets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems, as well as identifying and resolving process-related issues. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to maintaining and elevating product quality and operational excellence in a key manufacturing center.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Design and execute process validation studies to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Monitor key quality metrics and production performance indicators, reporting on trends and deviations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Management.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality engineering or process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, SPC, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Experience with process mapping and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
