Purpose of Position: Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Total Quality Management (TQM) department. Support the department to achieve and maintain quality and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
HPCSA Registration as a Technician / Laboratory Assistant. (Required)
Required Experience:
1 or more years of accreditation experience
1 or more years of office administration experience in a medical environment
Attention to detail to meticulously review documents and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards
Familiarity with QMS principles and practices
ISO 15189 Internal Auditor experience
Knowledge of ISO 15189 requirements for quality and competence for medical laboratories
Proficient in Computer Technology to use various computer applications effectively, including MS Office, Open Office, Adobe Professional, HRIS, Document Server, and Google Drive
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
Key Responsibilities:
Administer inter-laboratory programs and check reports to reduce the need for additional proficiency coordinators
Arrange and coordinate departmental events, training room bookings and meetings to ensure all requirements are met
Assist proficiency coordinators with administrative duties to ensure effective recording and handling of QC and inter-laboratory programs data
Assist with managing and maintaining the QMS software system
Assist with new e-learning programs, coordinate the TQM training room, and manage training administration
Assist with TQM administration tasks to provide effective support to the department
Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
Manage SANAS applications and handle document transfers to meet ISO standards
Perform SANAS-required administration duties for assessment applications to ensure adherence to quality standards
Perform training coordination tasks: Register trainees for training, manage attendance registers and issue training certificates
Provide administrative support for Quality Consultants in their tasks
Update documents on the shared document server/software platform to ensure information availability
