Qualified Vehicle Spraypainter & Panelbeater
Location: Johannesburg Kempton Park
Salary: R.00 per month

Position Overview: National Luxury Buss company seeks a Qualified Vehicle Spraypainter & Panelbeater with strong technical skills and experience working in high-volume workshops, ideally with heavy-duty vehicles such as coaches or trucks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Wear and maintain protective clothing at all times.
3. Basic use and understanding of hand and power tools.
4. Maintain spray booth in accordance with the manufacturers manual.
5. Ensure filters are clean daily to allow for sufficient airflow.
6. Conduct regular inspections on air supply equipment.
7. Demonstrate solid knowledge of surface preparation.
8. Use appropriate vehicle painting materials and techniques.
9. Accurately mix and match paint colours.
10. Remove paint imperfections using correct methods.
11. Perform quality checks after each step of the process.
12. Handle client or team complaints in the absence of the workshop manager.
13. Mentor and support apprentices under your supervision.
14. Report punctually and maintain accurate timekeeping.
15. Ensure job cards are present and each vehicle is properly checked in.
16. Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the repair and painting process.
17. Adhere to workshop schedules and assist other team members when not assigned a task.
18. Willing to work after hours and on weekends when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

1. Qualified Spray Painter / Panelbeater
2. Valid Code EC or EC1 04 License is advantageous
3. 5 years experience in a large workshop as a Spray Painter
4. Experience working with coaches / trucks / heavy-duty vehicles is advantageous
5. Must be highly motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be reliable and honest
6. Must be willing to work standby shifts and weekends when needed
