Job description

Parow Family Pharmacy is looking for a reliable, professional, and dedicated Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant to join our close-knit team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist in the dispensing and supply of medication in accordance with SAPC regulations.
2. Handle prescription processing, patient counselling, and customer service.
3. Maintain stock levels in the dispensary and assist with expiry date monitoring and order management.
4. Support daily dispensary operations including WhatsApp and after-hours communication.
5. Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain ethical and professional conduct at all times.
6. Work independently and confidently during night shifts.

Requirements:

1. Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
2. Proven experience in a retail pharmacy dispensary.
3. Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays on rotation.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
6. Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
