Job description

Salary: ±R35,000 per month negotiable for the right candidate

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the supervision of the Debtors & Creditors function
• Management of the Deal Discounting Position
• Daily cashbooks for all companies
• General Administration & bookkeeping
• Cashflow Management
• Monthly processing of standard journal entries
• Analyse and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Maintain/update the Fixed Asset Register to track depreciation entries
• Maintain/update the Vehicle Amortization schedules
• Oversee/process the Petty cash entries in the GL
• Prepare and distribute Monthly Management Accounts/Packs
• Maintain/update the insurance policy
• Assist with Statutory returns, eg preparation of VAT
• Resolution of queries

Educational Requirements:

Qualified Accountant

Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of accounting processes and principles
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a fair knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Good knowledge of accounting packages, Pastel will be a preferred option
• Basic knowledge of deal management packages
