Job description

Key Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supervise and lead the QC inspection team in the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of finished upholstery products.
  • Implement and enforce company quality standards, procedures and checklists.
  • Conduct regular product audits
  • Investigate quality issues and analyze root causes
  • Coordinate with production, warehousing and customer service teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and quality reports
  • Reporting of feedback to management and production departments.
  • Train and mentor QC inspectors by promoting awareness of quality standards and procedures
  • Ensure health and safety compliance
  • Participate in incoming material inspections and verify conformance to specifications
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality system audits

Experience And Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) Minimum
  • Technical diploma in furniture manufacturing or quality management
  • 3-5 years’ experience in QC role within furniture or upholstery manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of upholstered furniture construction, materials and common defects
  • Familiarity with quality standards, inspection techniques and measurement tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel/Word)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
