Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is recruiting a QA/QC Officer for our client, a global leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport solutions, located in the Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring quality across wind farm construction and related heavy lifting projects.

The successful candidate will conduct inspections, manage NCRs, review ITPs and support audits, collaborating with engineers and subcontractors in a demanding project-site environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' QA/QC experience.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001.
• Experience with inspections, audits, NCRs and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections and audits across project operations.
• Maintain ISO 9001 aligned Quality Management Systems.
• Monitor compliance with project specs and quality standards.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Review ITPs and maintain inspection records.
• Support client audits and quality handover documentation.
• Work with project teams, engineers and subcontractors.

Boardroom Appointments is recruiting an experienced QA/QC Officer on behalf of our client, a global leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections and audits across project operations.
• Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001.
• Monitor compliance with project specifications, technical requirements and quality standards.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions and quality documentation.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and maintain inspection records.
• Support client audits, project reporting and quality handover documentation.
• Work closely with project teams, engineers and subcontractors.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' relevant QA/QC experience.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001.
• Practical experience with inspections, audits, NCRs and quality documentation.
• Experience within construction, engineering, mining or heavy lifting environments.
• Wind farm / wind turbine installation project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work in a demanding project-site environment.
