  • FSSC qualification and auditing experience required.

Job description

QA / QC Manager Position
Reference: CPT-CB-1A

A position has opened for a QA / QC Manager in the flavour and ingredient industry.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Actively participate in customer complaint investigation and non-conformances.
  2. Organize investigation on problems associated with all finished products, including reviewing and printing result history from SAP.
  3. Ensure Corrective Action Plans are in place, closed off on time and preventive measures are in place for improvement.
  4. Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement for quality and Food safety system.
  5. Ensure statistical process control implementation and capability to improve product and package quality.
  6. Lead Change Control program for the site.
  7. Define and coordinate the internal quality audit program.
  8. Ensure employees are trained on quality system and GMP requirements.
  9. Actively participate in customer or supplier audits and regulatory audits.
  10. Investigate out of specification lab results and review trends.
  11. Participate in the validation of new equipment, new product and new product specification.
  12. Ensure Process Capability programs are implemented, monitored and reviewed by all relevant QA, Quality and Production departments on agreed frequencies.
  13. Support implementation of Quality at source in the plant and develop Quality Assurance functionality.
  14. Draft and edit standard operating procedures (SOPs) and analytical procedures as needed.
  15. Verification of specifications and records of finished products and raw materials.
  16. Ensure all Quality and GMP documents are current and well maintained in the document management system.
  17. Standardized test procedures and methods.
  18. Ensure that Laboratory Equipment is serviced, maintained, calibrated and verified as per agreed standards.
  19. Manage and adhere to quality budget for all equipment contracts in the lab.
  20. Ensure that quotations are available in time to update rolling estimates for consumables.
  21. Ensure that all laboratory CAPEX requirements are communicated and planned for in the annual budget process according to the standard lab list.
  22. Conduct risk assessment for quality team.
  23. Assume management of day-to-day operations of applications lab in the absence of Technical Manager.
  24. Monitor and report on Quality goals and Objectives with Business Strategic objectives.
  25. Train junior staff.
  26. Monitoring of suppliers and supplier files/documentation completion of customer questionnaires.
  27. Annual Review of HACCP / TACCP / VACCP Plan.
  28. Arrange monthly Food Safety & Management Meeting.
  29. Capture & distribute minutes to relevant stakeholders.
  30. Food Safety & Halal & Kosher Assurance Team Leader.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Grade 12
  2. Biochemistry Degree
  3. More than 6 years in a similar position
  4. FSSC qualified and experienced
  5. Auditing experience
