Exciting Opportunity Awaits! We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly energetic Quality Assurance Operations Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a communicative self-starter capable of working independently as well as part of a team. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Deputise as appropriate for the QA Lab & Ops Lead.
  2. Implement Quality and Food Safety systems and programs within operations as per the standards set by the quality governance team, including environmental monitoring, MCS, glass control, allergen validations, foreign body controls. Coordinate the rollout of Quality & Food Safety Training programs within Operations.
  3. Ensure that all operational staff receive relevant training and achieve the minimum understanding required for their roles within McCormick.
  4. Conduct daily standard defect audits to ensure CTQ & CCP compliance to required standards as determined by the quality governance team.
  5. Conduct internal inspections and audits to ensure operations comply with regulatory, customer, corporate, and third-party accreditation standards.
  6. Serve as the primary point of escalation for operational quality and food safety non-conformances, CTQ, and CCP deviations.
  7. Maintain data systems timely and accurately to ensure compliance with traceability standards and KPIs.
  8. Analyze, trend, and report on quality & food safety RCA & CAPA to ensure appropriate handling and resolution of customer complaints and KPI deviations.
  9. Implement quality & food safety control plans for projects within operations, including installations, equipment modifications, and process changes.
  10. Work with the plant performance team to identify and reduce losses while achieving quality & operational performance objectives.
  11. Facilitate quality & food safety improvement projects.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Higher degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • HACCP Level 3 internal audit and inspection qualifications.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment working within Quality Management Systems.
  • Practical knowledge of BRC, HACCP implementation, Pest Control, Allergen management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret analytical and microbiological data.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventative actions.
