Job summary

iqbusiness is seeking a QA Specialist on a 12-month contract to collaborate with an international partner from Welgemoed, Cape Town. This hybrid role includes 3 days on-site and 2 days work-from-home.

The ideal candidate will design and execute rigorous test frameworks and automation strategies for web and mobile environments, with a strong automation background and proactive quality improvements across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
4+ years testing websites, web apps, and mobile apps.
Experience with complex websites and applications.
Experience in regression and load/stress testing.
Playwright experience.
Automation experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Web and Mobile-App Test Plans with scopes, approaches, resources, and timelines.
Design, write, and execute test cases to verify software behavior.
Find and report bugs with reproduction steps.
Write automated tests or use testing tools to speed up processes.
Perform regression testing after fixes or new features.
Collaborate with development to understand features and discuss bugs.
Document testing processes, results, and discrepancies for teams.
Test system performance under heavy loads and stress.
Conduct usability and accessibility testing to meet standards.
Stay updated on latest testing tools and industry trends.
