Job description

To ensure products or services meet quality standards by defining the automated testing strategy and framework.

This entails managing QA staff who create and run both manual and automated tests, identify errors, and provide feedback to developers.

Main Duties of Automated Testing:

• Develop test automation strategy for large complex projects in AGILE methodology.
• Design Test Automation, Execution, and Lead automation delivery using Selenium and Cucumber tools.
• Design, create, construct, and execute automation test cases for REST API and SOAP web services.
• Experience in Selenium.

Nice to have:

• WebDriver and TestNG.
• Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization and management for QA team.
• Identify, verify, report, and regress bugs.
• Collaborate with product line stakeholders to understand and develop strategies and frameworks related to emerging demands.
• Drive innovation and adoption of industry practices through investigation and institutionalization of new tools, methods, and standards.
• Work with the development team to understand technologies and develop/implement automated testing tools for data comparison and transformation (on Hadoop, Spark, Datameer, etc.).

A deep, practical understanding of SDLC processes including requirements, design, development, build, release management, and quality assurance.

Documentation: Creating detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

Analysis: Analyzing test results, identifying root causes of defects, and providing feedback to developers.

Collaboration: Working with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.

Process Improvement: Contributing to the development and improvement of QA processes and procedures.

Mentoring and upskilling QA personnel to operate effectively within an automated QA environment.

Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent; additional certifications advantageous.
• SQL and proficiency in reading C# code.
• Minimum 8 years overall QA or similar role.
• 4-6 years experience in automated QA role.
• 2-3 years demonstrated ability to design and implement detailed automated testing protocols, preferably within the Financial Services or similar environment.
• Understanding of different testing methodologies and techniques.
• Ability to communicate test results and feedback effectively.
• Ability to identify root causes of defects and suggest solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions.
