Job description

We are seeking a skilled Pumps Technician with a Millwright qualification to join our client’s team based in Boksburg . The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of various pump systems. This role requires both mechanical and electrical expertise, as well as a proactive, safety-conscious mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of industrial pumps and associated equipment.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults and perform corrective action.
• Align and balance pump components to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records, including job cards and maintenance logs.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams as required.
• Participate in standby and call-out duties when necessary.

Minimum Requirements :

• Qualified Millwright (Red Seal trade certificate).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working on pumps and pumping systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Familiarity with VSDs, motors, seals, bearings, and other pump-related components.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
