Job summary

Primeserv Denverdraft in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for the engineered pumps plant. You will oversee manufacturing, quality, safety, and continuous improvement, applying CIP methods to reduce costs and drive productivity.

Requirements include matric, a diploma or degree in operations management or mechanical engineering, and SAP experience. 5–8 years in manufacturing with pumps experience is preferred; fitter and Turner trade is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Diploma or Degree in Operations Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fitter and Turner trade will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Control and manage the operational function of engineered pumps manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with technical and quality standards for all pumps.
• Oversee health, safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping and labour relations.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure cost-effective production and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through CIP and process optimisation.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and toolbox talks.
• Lead training and development initiatives for employees.
• Carry out performance reviews and manage staff development.
