Job Description

Oversee activities related to servicing a portfolio of Public Sector Banking clients with low to medium complexity, including transactional, lending, and investment products. Provide strategic guidance, cross-sell, and grow the portfolio by acquiring new clients, both tender and non-tender based.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Compile reports to track progress and inform decision-making.
  2. Provide expertise and thought leadership in your area.
  3. Participate in activities for personal and team development.
  4. Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements.
  5. Attend to expired limits and review credit proposals.
  6. Negotiate and structure deals for low to medium complexity clients.
  7. Manage existing portfolios and acquire new clients to drive growth.
  8. Define sales and portfolio strategies to meet targets.
  9. Build relationships across teams to enhance collaboration.
  10. Focus on service excellence and process improvements to reduce costs.
Candidate Profile
  • Postgraduate qualification.
  • 5 years relevant experience, including 2-3 years in judgmental credit, portfolio, and relationship management.
  • RE5 certification (fit and proper), as this is a FAIS role.
  • Willingness to travel across the North West region.
  • Deep understanding of government operations and legislative frameworks.
  • Knowledge of industry dynamics and public sector trends.
  • Understanding of banking operations.
  • Residency in North West, specifically in Klerksdorp or Mahikeng.
