The Public Relations Manager is responsible for shaping and maintaining the public image of the organization.
This role involves developing and executing strategic communication plans, managing media relations, handling public engagements, and overseeing crisis communications to uphold the brand's reputation.
The position will report directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public relation strategies to enhance brand reputation.
- Write and distribute press releases, speeches, and promotional materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry professionals.
- Plan and coordinate public events, press conferences, and media interviews.
- Monitor media coverage and address media inquiries.
- Oversee crisis communication and support reputation management efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure PR aligns with business goals and marketing strategies.
- Track and report on PR campaign effectiveness and media mentions.
- Showcase the Estate's Six Values and commitment to thoughtful winemaking, crafted luxury hospitality, and meaningful art in all PR interactions.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior or management role within the public relations field with a track record in media engagement and campaign delivery.
- Demonstrated crisis communication and reputation management experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Time management and multitasking in deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital PR strategies.
- Event planning and execution expertise.
- Calm and strategic under pressure, particularly in crisis scenarios.
- Demonstrates professional verbal and written communication at all levels.
