Job summary

Stellenbosch University invites applications for a three-year, part-time Senior Lecturer in Public Procurement Law in the Department of Public Law, Stellenbosch Campus. The appointee will lecture, conduct research, supervise postgraduate students and support faculty administration.

A doctoral degree in public law, an established postgrad publications record, and experience in teaching are required; multilingualism and practical legal experience are valued.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in public law.
• Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• A proven record of accredited publications in public law.
• Experience in postgraduate mentorship and supervision.
• Ability to contribute to administrative functioning of the Department.
• Multilingualism and legal practical experience are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Public Law, including public procurement law and integrated legal studies.
• Actively researching, writing and publishing in public procurement law.
• Postgraduate supervision in public procurement law and other specialised areas.
• Contributing to the administrative functioning of the Department and Faculty.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Faculty.
