Qualifications

• Knowledge of South African environmental health legislation and standards.
• Proven experience in inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong leadership, communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce environmental health policies and sanitation regulations.
• Conduct inspections of food establishments, public facilities and residential areas.
• Investigate nuisances and complaints such as pest infestations and waste issues.
• Provide expert advice and training on sanitation and hygiene best practices.
• Manage and mentor junior environmental health practitioners and support staff.
• Prepare detailed reports for regulatory bodies on assessments and actions.
