Job description

Our client operating in the Automotive sector and based in Centurion is seeking to employ a registered and experienced Psychometrist to fulfil an Assessment Specialist role within their dynamic HR team.

Requirements:

  • Honours degree in Industrial Psychology / Social Sciences.
  • Registered Psychometrist (compulsory) or Industrial Psychologist (advantage) with the HPCSA.
  • Experience with competency profiling job analysis and job description writing.
  • Proficient in selecting assessment batteries (cognitive personality and behavioural).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Psychometric Assessment Management including administration feedback and report compilation.
  • Experience in creating learning and development plans.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the motor industry.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Value Proposition:
  • Deliver on the integrated Talent Management Strategy ensuring alignment with the business objectives and learning and development priorities.
  • Promote and communicate the Value Proposition for Psychometric assessments ensuring alignment with the Group Dealer Franchise Agreements and Standards.
  • Online Psychometric Assessments:
  • Schedule and ensure timely delivery of psychometric assessments for key positions both for recruitment and development purposes.
  • Set up online assessment links and send them to candidates within 24 hours of a request.
  • Compile and send online assessment reports to relevant parties within 48 hours of completion.
  • Provide feedback to the requestor within 2 working days after receipt of results.
  • Provide feedback to candidates if candidates request feedback.
  • Drive compliance for key roles by contacting dealers regarding noncompliance and implementing methods to improve adherence to assessment criteria.
  • Ensure alignment with Dealer Operating Standards (DOS) on assessment compliance.
  • Managing Online Assessment Centres:
  • Schedule coordinate and facilitate assessment centres for Dealer Principal roles and specialist projects.
  • Prepare and conduct assessment centres providing a report within 48 hours.
  • Arrange brand interviews within 48 hours after assessment centres for Dealer Principal roles.
  • Provide relevant feedback to candidates.
  • Recordkeeping / Reporting:
  • Manage and report on the groups Assessment Data including Norm Data Annual Validation Studies and other analytics.
  • Maintain daily tracking of assessments and assessment centres.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in compliance with HPCSA guidelines.
  • Compile and distribute the monthly assessment compliance report.
  • Track noncompliant dealers and managers and document responses on the assessment tracker.
  • Project Services:
  • Advise on the selection and use of appropriate assessment tools for recruitment and development purposes especially for special projects.
  • Develop and present bimonthly workshops to educate the dealer network on the value and benefits of psychometric assessments.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers including RFQs and oversee invoice tracking for special projects.
  • Billing:
  • Update the assessment tracker daily to ensure accurate billing.
  • Compile monthly billing for assessment services and distribute it to the Line Manager for approval.
  • Perform weekly checks to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Adherence to Ethical Guidelines:
  • Ensure all assessment services comply with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Educate the dealer network throughout the assessment and feedback process.
  • Stay updated on trends in psychometry to continuously enhance assessment offerings.
  • Training Academy / Brand / Dealer Network Support:
  • Identify and recommend initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Develop workshops to educate the dealer network on psychometric assessment data and talent management practices.
  • Support internal events such as product launches certification examinations and department workshops.
  • Maintain relationships with field staff and dealer staff.
  • Attend roadshows to stay informed about trends changes and brand strategies.
  • Update competency profiles and assessment centre materials as needed (every 3 years).
  • Assist with the updating of job profiles for dealer management and staff ensuring alignment with the groups competency profiles.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business operations specifically in process efficiency and delivery.
  • Ensure course content updates and innovate in delivery methods.
  • Process Management:
  • Assist with the annual update of audit and standard documents (processes workflows work instructions) to ensure alignment with the internal Quality Management System.
  • Adhere to all internal processes including expense claims schedules and work instructions.
  • Manage budgets effectively ensuring timely submission of quotes and adherence to budget limits.
