Job summary

The University of the Free State invites applications for the position of Programme Coordinator: BSocSci Programme (Psychology) on a five-year contract. The role is based at the Bloemfontein campus and focuses on academic leadership for the Psychology BSocSci programme, including planning, governance, and curriculum oversight.

You will coordinate quality assurance, engage with staff, students, industry partners, and drive recruitment and enrolment initiatives while maintaining accurate programme

Qualifications

• PhD in Psychology or currently registered for PhD in Psychology.
• Full-time academic staff member in the Department of Psychology at UFS.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic programme leadership and governance including planning and reporting.
• Manage programme operations: enrolment planning, student advising, progression and student success initiatives.
• Lead curriculum development and programme reviews for quality and relevance.
• Coordinate quality assurance and accreditation in line with university and professional bodies.
• Engage with staff, students, industry partners to enhance graduate employability.
• Coordinate marketing and recruitment initiatives to support enrolment.
• Maintain accurate programme documentation and governance reports for informed decision-making.
