Exciting New Opportunity for a Psychologist to join our team in the Newcastle / Hunter OR Cairns Region!

Are you a passionate psychologist looking to make a difference in your community? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate psychologist to join our team and provide high-quality mental health support to individuals in the community.

The Position

Permanent Full-time Role

Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule - no weekends! This role offers the flexibility to work from home supporting clients via Telehealth or in-person depending on the role's requirements. Achieve a true work-life balance with the flexibility we offer!

Location: Open to candidates in Newcastle / Hunter or Cairns (QLD).

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct health assessments to evaluate clients' needs and create plans, recommendations, and take corrective actions.
  2. Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to the client and liaise with their carers, case managers, and other health partners.
  3. Contribute to our Wellness for Independence group programs and promote health and wellbeing in the community.
  4. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients, addressing complex situations and making tailored recommendations for their care.
  5. Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with unique needs including dementia, housing issues, access to services, and elder abuse.
  6. Contribute to cross-functional projects and run group discussions.

What will you need to be considered for the role?

  1. Bachelor Degree or higher in Psychology recognized by Psychology Board of Australia.
  2. Full AHPRA registration or provisional registration with an external mentor.
  3. Satisfactory Police check and current First Aid and CPR.
  4. Current driver license and ability to travel for client care.
  5. Ability to work remotely as a lone practitioner.
  6. Sound clinical knowledge and ability to deal with complex issues.
