Job description

Provide Leadership and Direction in the Province

  • Ensure continuous improvement within the province.
  • Analyze provincial statistics and communicate findings to the regional manager.
  • Facilitate communication with other provinces to address gaps in provincial performance.
  • Consolidate all reports received within the province and compile quarterly reports.
  • Distribute provincial quarterly reports to all cidb functions within the province.
  • Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with policies and provincial reports.
  • Maintain quality and quick turnaround times within regulatory frameworks.

Oversee Customer Care for Registration within the Province

  • Supervise the implementation of registration processes and other registrars.
  • Analyze information received in compliance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the mandate and cidb standards.
  • Implement non-compliance penalties.
  • Monitor operations to uphold cidb standards.
  • Oversee and communicate provincial supply and demand of tools to the cidb head office.
  • Oversee registration reports of all sites and liaise with the Regional Manager.

Data Collection and Management

  • Ensure data collection and management align with cidb business plan and standards.

Procurement and Development

  • Communicate procurement and development standards to clients and monitor compliance.
  • Oversee implementation of standards according to the operational plan.
  • Analyze the implementation of standards and their impact on provincial performance.

Operational Planning

  • Identify and manage risks within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure timely budgeting, monitoring, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage, maintain, and safeguard regional assets.
  • Assess financial implications of propositions and align expenditure with cash flow projections.
  • Prepare and control the regional budget.
  • Evaluate and monitor all unit expenditures.
  • Ensure expenses are aligned with requirements and properly accounted for.
  • Implement expense control measures within the region.

Risk and Financial Management

  • Identify and manage risks in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure budgeting, monitoring, variance analysis, and reporting are timely.
  • Manage and safeguard regional assets.
  • Assess financial implications and align expenditures accordingly.
  • Prepare and oversee the regional budget.
  • Monitor all expenditures for compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain expense control within the region.

People Management

  • Manage subordinate performance in accordance with cidb policies.
  • Develop and implement Personal Development Plans for subordinates.
  • Discipline subordinates as necessary, following cidb policies.
