Requirements
- Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent relevant qualification
- FSCA recognized qualification
- FAIS Key Individual Regulatory Exam Level 1
- FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam Level 5
- 8-10 years’ experience in a senior sales management role (essential)
- 5-8 years’ management experience (essential)
- Experience in rendering financial services (essential)
Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Process
- Implement and manage the sales strategy for the province aligned with overall business strategy and client-centric principles.
- Develop, implement, and manage a risk management strategy for the province to effectively manage and mitigate risks.
- Research and build competitor and market intelligence to proactively enhance sales strategies and tactics.
- Reduce wastage in the province by preventing fraud, managing surrenders, early duration claims, and related issues.
- Drive legislative and internal compliance within the province, ensuring adherence to high ethical standards.
- Ensure efficient client service and administrative processes are developed, implemented, maintained, and managed within the geographic area.
- Manage and monitor activities of Regional Managers to ensure market access opportunities.
- Implement sales plans or strategies with Regional Managers to increase sales opportunities and penetration.
- Monitor and track provincial performance to meet productivity, production, and quality targets.
- Analyze profitability and oversee improvement plans with stakeholders.
- Set targets and be accountable for overall performance objectives by driving sales performance.
- Communicate processes, controls, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements impacting sales.
Client Services
- Define and influence service models to ensure client satisfaction, value chain integration, and optimization.
- Foster a culture of service excellence, rewarding relationships, encouraging innovation, and ensuring fair treatment of clients.
- Understand client needs and align service offerings accordingly.
- Direct service delivery to meet after-sales needs, expectations, and targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and improve client service and fair treatment practices.
- Provide expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and monitor service level agreements, recommending adjustments as needed.
