One of our clients in the Healthcare industry in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is hiring a Prosthetics and Orthotics Specialist.

Position Details

Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an accredited Orthotic and Prosthetic center.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Orthotics / Prosthetics; Master's degree preferred.

Job Summary

Planning, organizing, and supervising the department's services, establishing standards, and ensuring the delivery of safe, quality prosthetic and orthotic care. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive programs and manages patient care involving device measurement, manufacturing, and fitting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Complete mandatory orientation within 30 days and departmental competency-based orientation within 90 days.
2. Consult with and keep the department supervisor informed of activities, needs, and issues.
3. Ensure compliance with prosthetics and orthotics standards, and maintain quality and safety programs.
4. Utilize supplies and equipment cost-effectively; maintain a safe environment.
5. Assist in care and maintenance of supplies and equipment, report issues, and ensure preventive maintenance.
6. Perform prosthetic and orthotic procedures, collaborate with team members, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
7. Manage daily operations, participate in clinical meetings, and evaluate patient needs.
8. Provide technical advice, select materials, take measurements, and manufacture devices.
9. Stay updated with latest technology, attend training, and achieve relevant certifications.
10. Supervise technicians and support staff; participate in research and development projects.
11. Maintain comprehensive patient records, ensure timely service, and oversee inventory and procurement.
12. Develop and implement policies, participate in quality improvement, and promote safety and communication.
13. Demonstrate professional attributes, participate in conferences, and support the mission and vision of the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Orthotics / Prosthetics; Master's preferred.
• Saudi Council Registration as Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO).
• At least 5 years in an accredited center, pediatric experience is required.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
• Physical ability to perform duties, emotional stability, and willingness to work beyond hours as needed.
• Effective communication skills with medical staff and patients.
