Job description

Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy industry, is looking for a Proposal Support Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. If you're passionate about sustainable energy and want to play a pivotal role in shaping project proposals that make a difference, this is your opportunity!

You’ll support the engineering team with research, preliminary design, costing, and preparation of detailed solar system proposals. This role is a fantastic chance to grow your skills and work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects.

Over the longer term (1–12 months), you’ll contribute to drafting technical designs using AutoCAD, perform solar simulations using PVSyst, and help develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM). You'll assist with project costing and proposal creation, helping to prepare detailed sales proposals for review and sign-off by senior engineering leaders. As you grow into the role, you can expect to take on additional responsibilities in line with project needs.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in proposal engineering, bid management, or a similar role.
• Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand complex engineering concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using proposal management tools and software.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
