Are you someone who can :
- Maintain best practice financial planning, accounting, and control within the Business Unit, ensuring adherence to budgets and proper accounting of revenues and costs for properties.
- Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals, controlling costs to increase efficiency.
- Develop a service culture that builds rewarding relationships, fosters innovation, and enables exceptional client service.
- Build and maintain good relations with internal clients (e.g., Sales, Credit), external clients (e.g., FNB Group), and independent valuation contractors/vendors to support the bank's market reputation.
- Oversee all policies, SLAs, procedures, and mandates to achieve business objectives, implementing best practices in property valuation management.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements.
- Conduct industry-related research to stay updated on market trends impacting property valuation, ensuring competitiveness.
- Analyze reports, interpret information, and implement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage team performance, skills development, employment equity, and culture to improve innovation and efficiency.
- Invest in personal and managerial development for leadership growth.
You will be an ideal candidate if you :
- Possess a property-related qualification (preferable).
- Are registered with the S.A. Council for Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer or Associate Valuer.
- Membership with the S.A. Institute of Valuers is advantageous but not essential.
- Have at least 6 years of experience in property valuations, including 2-3 years in middle management within a financial institution.
- Are computer literate.
- Have a good understanding of financial and accounting principles relevant to business operations.
- Are knowledgeable about property-related legislative requirements, town planning, municipal bylaws, and township procedures.
- Are familiar with procedures of the Surveyor’s General’s and Deeds Office.
