About The Role
We are seeking an Operational Services Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the facility.
This role is key to ensuring that the shopping centre provides excellent customer experience while also maintaining operational efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- Qualification in business management, facilities / property management
- Between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Facilities or Operations Management
- Electrical, mechanical, or construction background, as well as technical skills
- Experience in overseeing daily operations and coordinating team efforts.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as business systems such as SAP and MDA.
- Awareness and implementation of quality standards.
- Basic contract management abilities.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and service providers.
- Working knowledge and understanding of lease conditions.
- Administration principles and reporting expertise.
- Understanding of cost budgeting and control.
- Working knowledge of statutory requirements, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in basic numeracy skills.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facility Management: Ensure the shopping centre is maintained to high standards, including cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation.
- Supervise maintenance activities and manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Staff Management: Supervise and lead a team of operations staff, including security, cleaners, and maintenance team.
- Schedule shifts (maintenance) and manage employee performance, and support where necessary.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the shopping centre complies with all health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and tenant inspections, addressing any potential hazards and keep record of pest control compliance.
- Customer Service: Monitor customer service operations, addressing any complaints or issues raised by customers or tenants.
- Ensure the centre's operations are designed to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
- Keep tenant communication and address issues with relevant department head.
- Budgeting and Cost Management: Assist in managing the centre's operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Tenant Relations: Foster positive relationships with retail tenants, addressing operational needs and coordinating requests.
- Ensure tenant compliance with the centre's rules and regulations.
- Security and Emergency Response: Supervise security operations and ensure protocols are in place for emergency situations.
- Oversee incident reporting and coordinate with security teams during emergencies.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports on the shopping centre's operational performance for senior management.
- Communicate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective operational execution.
